Artists Paint Glen Echo Park 'Green'
Yellow Barn is hosting an art reception open to the public with work from this weekend's 'Green' paint-out, a landscape painting competition promoting environmentally-friendly practices among local artists.
Saturday, Oct. 22, marked the beginning of the Yellow Barn Studio and Gallery-sponsored plein air painting competition to promote environmentally-friendly practices among local artists. Participating artists will continue painting throughout today in preparation for a "Paint the Park Green" reception and awards ceremony at the Yellow Barn from 4:30-6 p.m. Yellow Barn instructors are scheduled to hold demonstrations of printmaking, pastel and watercolor techniques throughout the day. The awards ceremony begins at 5 p.m. All events are open to the public.
