Burglary, Theft From Vehicles Reported In Potomac

The 1st District Montgomery County Police Department released crime information for July 30 – Aug. 7.

 

 

One residential burglary and multiple thefts from vehicles were reported in Potomac in the Montgomery County Police Department crime summary for the period of July 30 – Aug. 7.

A residential garage burglary occurred in the 9100 block of Charred Oak Drive, Potomac, on Friday, Aug. 3, between midnight and 5:30 a.m. Suspects did not force entry into the residents, and stole cash.

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred, with most occurring overnight between Thursday, Aug. 2, and Friday, Aug. 3. All the vehicles were unlocked or were entered via unknown methods. Cash was taken in all but three of the cases. Affected streets included: the 9200 block of Hollyoak Drive, 7900 block of Cindy Lane, 9000 block of Charred Oak Drive, 7900 block of Deepwell Drive and the 8000 block of 8012 Carita Court.

Another theft from a vehicle took place in the 11200 block of Tilden Crest Lane, Potomac on Monday, July 30, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. A wallet was taken from the vehicle and the victim's credit card was used. It is unknown how the thief entered the car.
