China Jade Bistro Opens For Lunch, Dinner
The new Cabin John Shopping Center restaurant replaces the popular Jade Billows.
The anticipated new Chinese restaurant in Potomac's Cabin John Shopping Center opened Monday for lunch and dinner.
The China Jade Bistro opening was pushed back last week to finish printing menus, according to owner Candy Yan. The restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sundays through Thursdays, and will stay open until 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Potomac residents and shopping center customers have been curious about the opening, often peeking through the doors as workers walk in and out. Management says those customers can expect a menu similar to Jade Billow’s but with a contemporary flare.
“We want to do a modern Asian kitchen – some new, contemporary dishes,” said store manager Co Dang. “The menu will be similar, but we’ll have around 10 new entrees.”
Will you dine at the restaurant on opening day? What are you looking forward to most?

"Management says those customers can expect a menu similar to Jade Bistro’s but with a contemporary flare." Do you mean Jade Billows? Is this the same ownership/staff/chefs? If not, do these owners have another restaurant/location? Is this real Chinese food or the same Americanized stuff that the previous restaurant sold? The article (and the previous ones linked) say nothing much of substance.
