Congressional Hopeful Delaney Makes Rounds
Constituents in the sixth district will have an opportunity to hear and address first-time Congressional candidate John Delaney in Rockville Monday.

Democrat John Delaney, candidate for Maryland's 6th Congressional District this fall, will host a town hall in Rockville Monday, according to Justice for Students in America.
The political coalition has organized the event.

Constituents are invited to hear and address Delaney from 7-9 p.m. at the Technical Center at Montgomery College in room 136. (See flyer here.)
Delaney will also attend a "Congress Tea and Coffee" event at a constituent's home at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Montgomery Village, according to his website.
Delaney hopes to defeat incumbent Republican Rep. Roscoe G. Bartlett, a rare battle that could turn the GOP seat blue. He outspent his primary opponent, state Sen. Rob Garagiola, 3-1 leading up to this spring, according to The Baltimore Sun, and won by a nearly 2-1 margin.
The political blog Maryland Juice named Delaney the frontrunner in the race Monday, although Republicans have vowed to hold on. Bartlett is in his tenth term and has pursued careers as a professor, research scientist and inventor, small business owner, and farmer, according to his website.

I don’t know if Delaney is ok or not, but one thing’s for sure, if elected he’ll be one of the top three richest elected officials on Capitol Hill.

I am a Democrat and have been for years. I will not vote for John Delaney. I will only vote for a resident of my District 6. Why would Mr.Delaney think he can honestly represent the reisdents of my district? I am under the impression that he only wants to buy a seat in Congress and this election is not about such dishonest actions.
