Does that Smoke Alarm Come with a Camera, Too?
A Chevy Chase landlord faces trial for allegedly, secretly videoing three tenants in the buff.
Could a smoke alarm detect more than just smoke?
One Chevy Chase woman wondered just that—if, perhaps, the smoke alarm in her Chevy Chase apartment also contained a tiny camera.
She and her boyfriend took a closer look at the device, and now a Chevy Chase landlord faces a trial in the Montgomery County District Court on March 4 "on charges of secretly recording three tenants while they were nude or engaged in intimate acts with their boyfriends," The Washington Post reported.
The landlord, Dennis Alan Van Dusen, 63, is a lawyer, and also is being sued by two of the women and one of their boyfriends, "who accuse him of invasion of privacy," The Post added.
