Golf Clubs? Pocket Knife? Spring Break Safe Flying Tips
A guide to current Transportation Security Administration rules.
If you have college kids flying home or headed to a vacation destination for spring break—or if you are planning for a summer vacation, make sure you know the latest do's and don't's of flying.
The Transportation Security Administration recently announced changes to what is allowed aboard airplanes as carry-on luggage. Small knives and some sports equipment will be permitted—but not until April 25.
If your spring break plans include a trip to see baseball spring training games, make sure to either check you mini-bat souvenir or buy a t-shirt instead.
Headed to Myrtle Beach for a few rounds of golf? You’ll need to check your bag of clubs. After April 25, you’ll be able carry on up to two clubs.
Suntan lotion is a must-have, but if your bottle is larger than 3.4 ounces, you’ll need to check it.
If you have questions about what you are allowed to bring aboard, download the “MyTSA” app to your smart phone.
