Israeli Restaurant Chain To Debut At Montgomery Mall

A mid-November opening is planned for Aroma Espresso Bar, Bethesda Magazine reports.

Israel’s largest restaurant franchise is coming to the Westfield Montgomery Mall, brought in part by restaurateur Eddie Benaim of Potomac's Bezu, Bethesda Magazine reports.

Aroma Espresso Bar, which serves up coffee, soups, salads, and pastries, is set to open in mid-November, according to the report.

The news was first reported by Bethesda blogger Robert Dyer.

Aroma also offers frozen drinks, juices, and a breakfast menu that includes egg dishes, French toast, Muesli and oatmeal, according to its website. The chain has already made a foray into the U.S. market with outlets in Manhattan, Northern New Jersey, and Miami.

Benaim, owner of Potomac's Bezu, is one of the franchise developers in the District, Maryland and Virginia, Bethesda Magazine reported. Benaim said the coffee will be roasted and imported from Israel, along with baked goods and pastries that will be shipped frozen, according to the report.

The restaurant is planned for the lower level of the mall, near Old Navy.
