Around Christmas it may seem like Waffle House and McDonalds are the only options for food; however, many Potomac restaurants are open for business on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and ready for hungry customers.

Normandie Farm

The restaurant is open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and has both a brunch and dinner buffet. On Dec. 24, the brunch buffet is open from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. and the dinner buffet is available from 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. A buffet will also be available on Christmas Day and feature items like butternut squash soup, Caesar salad, imported and domestic cheese trays, spinach turnovers, stuffed pasta shells and much more. The buffet is $40 for adults and $15 for children 12 years and younger.

Tables are going fast, so make a reservation. The restaurant requires 48 hours notice if you are not going to show up for the reservation, as there is a $25 charge per person for not showing up.

Old Angler's Inn

The Old Angler's Inn is open for business on Christmas Eve from 5:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. and on Christmas Day from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. The restaurant will offer a special menu on Dec. 24 and 25, which will include items such as roast tenderloin beef, Maryland crab cakes, quail, Angler's Holiday Soup and many other options. The Christmas Eve buffet costs $65 per person and the Christmas Day buffet costs $59 per person.

Fortune Garden

You may see Santa and his reindeer making a pitstop at Fortune Garden because it is open on Dec. 24 and 25. The restaurant, which serves Japanese cuisine and sushi, will be open on Dec. 24 from 11:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. and on Dec. 25 from 11 a.m. until 10:30 p.m.

Umberto's

The restaurant located in the Cabin John Shopping Center is open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Customers can come in to eat from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. both days to try a variety of Italian entrees.

Amici Miei Ristorante

The Italian restaurant is open on Christmas Eve from 11:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. and also on Christmas Day from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Located in the Potomac Woods Plaza, the restaurant will offer its typical lunch and dinner menus, which can be viewed here.

Jade Billows

The Chinese restaurant is open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day — both days from 11 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. The restaurant is located in the Cabin John Shopping Center and offers a wide array of Chinese food for eating in or carrying out.

Shanghai Café

If you have to have your sushi, the Shanghai Café at the Potomac Oak Shopping Center is open for business on Dec. 24 and 25. The Chinese, Thai and Japanese restaurant is open from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. both days.

Renato Restaurant

The hot spot for Italian cuisine is open on Christmas Eve, but not Christmas Day. On Dec. 24 the restaurant is open from 12 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., but reservations are running out quickly so call the restaurant now to book your time.

Bezu

Bezu will be open on Dec. 24 only. The restaurant, which will be open from 5 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve, will offer some special menu options, although they have not yet been determined.

The Hunters Inn

The restaurant located near the intersection of Falls Road and River Road is open on Christmas Eve from 11:30 a.m. until 11 p.m. and has several special menu options including duck breast, porterhouse steak, crab and lobster cocktail and much more. Tally Ho Restaurant

If you're craving a pizza from Tally Ho, you better get it on Christmas Eve, because the restaurant is not open on Christmas Day. On Dec. 24, the restaurant known its Greek and American food will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

California Tortilla

The California Tortilla in the Cabin John Shopping Center is open on Christmas Eve, but not on Christmas Day. Burrito lovers can stop by on Dec. 24 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
