Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt to Open in Cabin John Mall

This fro-yo franchise plans to host its grand opening at the new Cabin John Mall location in Potomac next Friday.

Update (July 26, 4:40 p.m.): According to Dana Anderson, a spokesperson for Orange Leaf, the shop has experienced some construction setbacks and will not host its grand opening next Friday. Instead, the shop will open on a trial basis.

The grand opening date is yet to be determined.

Original Story: Potomac’s Cabin John Mall will be offering something sweet for shoppers starting next week – a frozen yogurt shop.

Orange Leaf, trademarked as “America’s Frozen Yogurt,” will host the grand opening of its new location in the mall on Friday, Aug. 3 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

According to its website, the franchise's 178 locations include a host of frozen yogurt flavors ranging from chocolate caramel, to red velvet, to the traditional vanilla, as well as toppings, including -- but not limited to -- granola, watermelon, Captain Crunch and marshmallows.

Dana Anderson, the shop’s manager, says the new location will open early next week on a trial basis, but the official grand opening will be next Friday.

The Orange Leaf website touts products of “superior taste and texture” and a “family-oriented, visually uplifting environment.”

If you’re doing some shopping next Friday and happen to grab a frozen treat, let Patch know if the fro-yo lives up to the hype.
