As Potomac Day festivities bubbled across the street at the Potomac Promenade, visitors at the Potomac Place Shopping Center had some activities planned for families as well. Sylvia Lett, a clown, hosted pumpkin decorating, scarecrow making and a corn maize free for children. According to Lett, she started the day with 250 pumpkins and was nearly cleaned out by early afternoon.

Cameron and his mother, Sougol, made the Orbitron their first stop, but were ready to enjoy more of the day's festivities.
