Rescuers Respond to Garage Fire in Potomac
A fire started in the garage of a Potomac home on Garden Court.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue are on the scene of a garage fire on the 9300 block of Garden Court in Potomac, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesman Capt. Oscar Garcia.
Fire and Rescue services responded to the fire at 4:41 p.m. on Dec. 22, which started in the garage of the house on Garden Court, which is located off of Garden Way, Garcia said. The fire did not extend from the garage to the nearby house, but firefighters are currently on the scene inspecting walls of the house for traces of fire damage. The bulk of the fire took about 15 minutes to extinguish, Garcia said.
By the time Montgomery County Fire and Rescue responded, the residents were out of the house and uninjured, Garcia said. It hasn't yet been determined how the fire started and investigators are being requested at the scene, Garcia said.
