For those not leaving Potomac for Thanksgiving, here's a rundown on what's closed for the holiday:

• State offices and courts
• County offices
• Libraries
• County liquor stores
• Montgomery County public schools and administrative offices
• Recreation centers, classes, administrative offices
• Senior centers, programs, classes
• TRiPS commuter stores in Silver Spring and Friendship Heights
• Shady Grove trash transfer station

County-provided curbside trash and recycling pickups will not take place on Thanksgiving Day, and will slide by one day, through Saturday.

Also, on Thanksgiving:

• Parking at county lots, garages and meters will be free-of-charge.
• Ride On, Metrobus and Metrorail will operate on Sunday schedules.
