Original Post: The U.S. Open Merchandise Pavilion was stocked with every golf item one could possibly want – and today those buyers who spent a lot of time and money in the pavilion are receiving an e-mail that all the items they just spent big bucks on are now 50 percent cheaper.  Good news – Bad news.  I wish I had not bought so much at full price– but now I can hurry back today to get some more at half price.

The sale will only take place Monday, and U.S. Open logo apparel, headwear, T-shirts, golf towels, ball markers and other items will be available at sale prices. The hours are 11:00a.m. to 5p.m.

Shuttle service is being provided from a lot off Oaklyn drive. The directions are as follows:

Using I-495 South (Capital Beltway)
Take Exit 41 onto Clara Barton Parkway toward Carderock/Great Falls. Follow Clara Barton Parkway West for 1.5 miles. Turn left onto MacArthur Boulevard and follow for approximately 2.2 miles. Make a right onto Falls Road and continue for approximately 1.1 miles. Turn right onto Oaklyn Drive and follow signs to Parking Lot K.

Using I-495 North (Capital Beltway)
Take Exit 41 onto Clara Barton Parkway toward Carderock/Glen Echo. Take a sharp left to follow Clara Barton Parkway West for approximately 1.7 miles. Turn left onto MacArthur Boulevard and follow for approximately 2.2 miles. Make a right onto Falls Road and continue for approximately 1.1 miles. Turn right onto Oaklyn Drive and follow signs to Parking Lot K.  

The U.S. Open Merchandise Pavilion has the best selection of any golf store that I have ever seen.  All the name brands are available - and  the opportunities to outfit myself in great clothing abound.  Of course, everything has the 2011 U.S. Open at Congressional logo, but the clothing is top-notch and the latest styles (including the bright shirts that we saw the pro golfers wear.)

So, skip work, hire a babysitter, drop whatever you are up to today – and rush to the U.S. Open Merchandise Pavilion to grab 50 percent off merchandise.  Everything from posters, books, hats, ball markers, Logo golf balls, stuffed animals, kid’s clothes will be marked down.  Just don’t run me over in your hurry!
