$20.00

Three choreographers from CityDance respond with short vignettes to the themes in Angels, Demons, and Savages: Pollock, Ossorio, Dubuffet, on view at the Phillips Feb. 9 through May 12. The exhibition reveals the cross-cultural dialogue and inspired friendships between American painter Jackson Pollock, American artist and patron of European and American postwar art Alfonso Ossorio, and French painter Jean Dubuffet. Before the CityDance premiere, guests tour the exhibition and hear a performance by electric cellist and composer Wytold, one of Strathmore’s 2012–13 Artist in Residence performers. Exhibition tour starts at 6:30 and performance starts at 7:00.

Enjoy two for $13 pre-performance specialty cocktails with friends and valentines at Tryst at the Phillips café, offering a bubbly, prosecco-based “Pretty in Pink” and spicy, beer and sangrita “Heart on Fire.” Available only Feb. 14, 2013; not included in program ticket.
