St. James' Episcopal Church has been in Potomac since 1963 and in its current location since 1967. Reverend Cynthia O. Baskin leads the large congregation under the mission that the church is a way to come to know Jesus Christ, to learn about him, to love him, to proclaim him and to serve in his name.
The church is part of the Diocese of Washington and offers its facilities to the community.
