While driving on the beltway, the six spires of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints can be seen. In December the temple has the festival of lights, where people can visit and see the light displays, an outside nativity scene, international nativity scenes, decorated trees and more. Only certain members of the Latter Day Saints can enter the Mormon temple, but interested parties can check out the visitor's center to watch films (Joseph Smith the Prophet of the Restoration is shown daily) and to learn more about the temple.
