Burglary Suspects Caught on Tape, AARP Appeals Pepco Rate Increase, Con Artist Alert

Here are five things to know in Potomac on Tuesday, Aug. 13:

1.) Temperatures will be in the mid-80s, with scattered thunderstorms and a 50 percent chance of rain, The Weather Channel reported.

2.) County police released surveillance video yesterday of three suspects in a burglary of the Bethesda Country Club. Do you recognize any of the suspects?

3.) AARP has filed an appeal in Baltimore City Circuit Court objecting to a rate increase—recently approved by Maryland regulators—for Pepco and other electricity providers in the state.

4.) Two cases of fraud recently took place in the parking lot of North Bethesda's Montrose Crossing Shopping CenterPatch reported. As you head out to do your back-to-school and other shopping for tax-free clothes and shoes shopping week, be on the alert for aggressive con artists.

5.) The Montgomery County Agricultural Fair continues through Saturday, Aug. 17. It's open each night until midnight.
