On T & Th until 10/14 from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm, and Sat, Oct 26, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, please join Damascus Community Recreation Center and Montgomery County Recreation in building a beautiful Children’s Garden. There are plenty of creative opportunities filled with smiles and laughter as well as dirty work. Some of the projects are as follows: drilling holes in a fence and gluing marbles to create a beautiful sun catcher. We also will be constructing a stone walkway and will need assistance hooking up rain barrels and a drip system to water the garden. Garden work includes digging in the soil, replanting herbs and flowers and creating a Children’s Garden sign. Damascus Community Recreation Center welcomes all kinds of volunteers but would also love help from anyone with specific skills in irrigation systems, landscaping, creative arts, and gardening skills.
