5 Things To Know This Week: May 21-27

Good morning, Potomac! It’s Monday morning, and time to start your work week with this week’s “5 Things.” Among our offerings: weather, some interesting tidbits and a few quick notes.

1. We will likely see some rain this week, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms through the beginning of the week predicted through Friday. High temperatures will get into the 80s, with lows in the 60s. Today will be cloudy with a possible rain, thunderstorms and a high of 73, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be rainy with lows dropping to 62.

2. Graduation nears for high school seniors across the county, and we’ve got a way to share your favorite memories. We’d love for you to upload your photos from homecoming, prom, that memorable basketball game -- anything -- right here on Patch. We’ve put together a virtual yearbook for and for , ready for you to post your pictures, thoughts and well-wishes.

3. The 22nd annual took place Saturday at 10 a.m. Last year the festival raised nearly $20,000 for charities serving women and children. Check out our galleries of the 2012 festival, and , too.

4. Four years ago, Joe Horton couldn’t run the length of his driveway in Atlanta, GA. Today, the Washington, D.C.- area transplant is training to complete the 50-mile Northface Endurance challenge in June. But his mission isn’t just bragging rights. The 41-year-old is attempting to raise $20,000 to establish a scholarship fund for underprivileged kids interested in playing youth sports.

5. Two juveniles from Rockville have been charged as adults in Friday's shooting at the Rockville Metro station, city police announced in a news release on Saturday.
