5 Things To Know This Week: Weather, Community Events, New Bloggers

Check out our calendar for more of the week's events.

Good morning, Potomac! It’s Monday morning and time to get your week started with these “5 Things.” Among our offerings: weather, a recap of what to expect today and some notices for the week ahead.

1. Temperatures this week should rise back up to warmer fall temperatures, after a chilly weekend and Monday. Highs will reach the mid-60s and low 70s, with lows in the 40s. Today will be rainy with a high of 54, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight’s low will drop to 44.

2. It was a chilly weekend, but there was plenty to do. Were you one of the hundreds attending the Taste of Bethesda or the Romanian Food Festival in Potomac? If so, send us your pictures and we’ll feature a community gallery.

3. Do you have an event that you're trying to promote on Patch? Looking for volunteers? Trying to promote a group exercise adventure? Do you have a church potluck that you want everyone to know about? Post it yourself on Patch! It's super easy; check out a quick how-to-video here.

4. Are you a social media buff? Do you love to share and connect with your community online? Check out the Potomac Patch Twitter account, and follow it for all the latest Potomac updates, especially regarding breaking news. We also have a Facebook page where we poll readers on those fun questions we’re just itching to ask.

5. Local activists, businesses owners and concerned residents are welcome to share their unique perspectives on the issues affecting the area. Email katie.griffith@patch.com for more information.
