5 Things To Know This Week: Weather, Pepco Hearing, Blood Drive

Good morning, Potomac! It’s Monday morning, and time to get your day started with these “5 Things.” Among our offerings: weather, a Public Service Commission hearing on Pepco’s handling of the derecho and what you can expect coming up this week.

1. We can expect a warm week, as temperatures stay mostly in the 80s and 90s. Highs will reach 93, with lows in the upper 60s. Today will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service. Today’s high will be 86, with tonight’s lows dropping to 68.

2. 4. A public hearing regarding Pepco’s handling of the June 29 derecho is scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Maryland Public Service Commission wants to hear people’s experiences dealing with Pepco during the outages from the storm. The public hearing is scheduled to take place at the Council Office Building in Rockville.
