5 Things to Know Today: Jan. 17

Good morning, Potomac! It’s Tuesday morning, the day after a nice, long weekend and time to get back to work with today’s “5 Things.” Among our offerings: weather, some interesting tidbits and a few quick notes.

1. This week will be varied with some rain and clouds through out the days. High temperatures should stay in the upper-30s or above, while lows may drop to 27. Today we will see rain, with a high of 53, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be cloudy with lows dropping to 32.

2. Last week saw a lot of developments in the Brickyard Road controversy. On Wednesday, the Montgomery County Board of Education between Nick Maravell and the BOE. Wednesday also saw , during which Montgomery County Council President and 1st District Representative Roger Berliner faced questions and accusations from Potomac residents frustrated by county’s decisions around Brickyard. On Thursday, to develop soccer fields at Brickyard Road.

3. We all know that Potomac, MD is home to some noteworthy names.  . Reports say that Jemmeh purchased a $3.5 million Potomac home in September.
