Welcome to Tuesday morning, Potomac! I’m sure you know what that means -- It’s time for your daily “5 Things.” Among today’s offerings: weather, the day’s events and a bit of quirky information.

1. Today we’re going to have to say goodbye to those lovely sunny days of last week. The National Weather Service calls for a cloudy day with highs around 72. Tonight we may see some rain in the later evening, with lows dropping to 59.

5. Today in 1975, an American comedy classic was born. On Oct. 11, 1975 NBC launched its popular sketch comedy show “Saturday Night Live,” which debuted with George Carlin as its host and guest stars Andy Kaufman, Janis Ian and Billy Preston.
