Welcome to Thursday, Potomac! The weekend is almost here, and it’s time to get your morning started with your daily “5 Things.” Among today’s offerings: weather, a glimpse of what to expect today and a few quick notes.
1. Today should be partly sunny and breezy, with a high near 61, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low of 44.

3. Today we’re in the middle of Community Service Week, and Patch would love to share your story. How do you stay involved with your community? What service projects are important to you?
