Good morning, Potomac, and welcome to Wednesday. We’ve compiled your daily “5 Things” to help you get up and greet the day. Among today’s offerings: recaps from yesterday, weather, the day’s events a bit of quirky information.

1. Today we can expect more of what we’ve seen since the week started. The National Weather Service predicts showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. Rain may last into the evening, with highs near 78 and a low of 62.

5. In keeping with our nation-themed day-in-history tidbit: On Sept. 28, 1787, the newly finished United States Constitution was approved by the U.S. Congress to be sent to the state legislatures for approval and ratification.
