Har Shalom Bone Marrow Donor Drive

Could you be Ezra's hero? A simple cheek swab will show if you are a donor match for two-year-old Ezra, who is in need of a life-saving bone marrow transplant.

Come to Congregation Har Shalom's donor recruitment drive -- on March 4, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. -- and register as a potential bone marrow donor on behalf of the Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation.

The best match for Ezra is probably someone of Eastern European ancestry, particulary Polish and Hungarian, but volunteers of all ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to join the registry. If you are between the ages of 18 and 60 and in general good health, you are eligible to be screened and join the worldwide registry.

The March 4th donor drive is being conducted by Har Shalom member Rebecca Holstein as a Bat Mitzvah project.
