Why go: Adopt a dog or just go play with some. Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions about any dog or about our adoption process. Please visit their web site: http://www.luckydoganimalrescue.org to see the dogs who are waiting for their "forever" home and family.

Where/When: 9:30 Club, 815 V Street NW, Washington, D.C. Saturday, Jan. 21 at 10:30 a.m.

Why go: At B2R, we hold our final exam at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. All bands in the B2R Jam Band program are encouraged to participate in this semiannual event that draws crowds of over 1000+ spectators.

The winning bands are determined by a panel of judges and not only get bragging rights, but also get a chance to work with a professional audio engineer to record their own original material in our studio. The winners’ performance will also be posted and promoted on the B2Rmusic.com website.

Why go: Addressing the exploding interest in the the Apple iPhone’s powerful, creative photo capabilities, “i” Shooters and The Mobile Mind is sponsoring a one-day workshop offering instruction on the improved range of available software and tools developed to produce high quality creative images. Hype surrounding Apple’s recently released iPhone 4s seems well deserved, due to serious re engineering devoted to improving the iconic brand’s camera functionality and optics. 

No experience is necessary—just bring your iPhone (4 and 4s) and creative juice—(participants may want to download about $20.00 in apps during the workshop).
