Guest performance from the 8 Ohms Band, a horn-heavy,funk and soul collective from Annapolis. Drawing from diverse musical backgrounds, the 8 Ohms bring together an eclectic mix of feel-good sounds and hard grooves to keep the dance floor moving.

When/Where: Silver Spring Civic Center located at One Veterans Place on Friday, Nov. 11 from 11 a.m to noon.

Why Go: The free dedication ceremony is part of a schedule of activities planned for the day to honor veterans and their families. The Silver Spring Town Center, Inc., and the Commission on Veterans Affairs will host the fourth annual “Tribute to America’s Veterans” concert at 7 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Silver Spring Civic Building.

Pricing: The ceremony is free but tickets for the concert are $20.
