In Prince George's County, residents can expect heavy rain and damaging wind gusts of up to 60 mph between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m., according to a NWS alert.
The service warns residents outside or driving during the storms to take precautions. Drivers are advised to avoid standing water on roadways.
