Week in Review: Hayley's Laptops, County Curfew and Football Highlights

Welcome to another Sunday afternoon, Potomac. This week we posted on topics ranging from a potential countywide curfew to public utilities to a story about a young volunteer in Potomac.

On Monday, we posted . Hayley has been working towards her goals of donating money for laptops since the fall of 2010 and she has raised a total amount of $3,300 for the Children’s Inn. That amount will allow the Inn to purchase four laptops.

Tuesday we featured a . Lauren Salzberg decided to open her business two months ago, after helping a number of friends tackle their own lice problems. Lauren will also be blogging for Potomac Patch, so be sure to look for her updates.

Thursday brought an update on the . Sometime between Aug. 27 and Aug. 28, in the midst of Hurricane Irene, a tree fell on a fourth-grade portable. Work has begun on putting a new portable in place and MCPS spokesperson Chris Kram estimates the new portable will be in working order by early to mid-October.

The Office of the County Attorney of to continue farming along Brickyard Road for another year, as we posted on Friday. We hope to have an update concerning Nick’s Farm early next week.
