She also received a master of fine arts from American in 1968, according to the obituary. She taught art at Montgomery Blair high school in the 1960s.

The exhibition will showcase mixed media collage paintings Nagel completed in her last five years.

According to the BUP announcement, Nagel described her work: “The medium of collage expands the expressive potential: I incorporate my own drawings, prints and paper, as well as found text and texture into the pieces. Preparing the collage papers is a great way to warm up and find inspiration. The freedom to make changes and experiment is unbeatable.”

The exhibition’s opening reception will be held in conjunction with the Bethesda Art Walk on Friday, Dec. 14 from 6-9 p.m.

The work will be on display from Dec. 5 through 29.
