Weekend Events Near Potomac: Fine Art Festival, Farmers Market, B&O Railroad Open House and More

Looking for something exciting to do this weekend? Check out some of the fun things going on around Montgomery County.

  • When: April 25 through June 9. Thursdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.; Saturdays and Sundays, 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
  • Description: An elegant production of the classic children’s favorite, and set in 17th-century France.
  • Cost: $10.

3rd Annual Silver Spring Fine Art Festival

  • Where: 880 Ellsworth Dr., Silver Spring.
  • When: Saturday, May 4, 10 a.m.
  • Description: Visitors are invited to view art by painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelers, digital artists, glass, fiber and ceramic artisans; also artwork in mixed-media, metal, and wood.

3rd Annual Naptown barBAYq Contest & Music Festival

  • Where: 1450 Generals Highway, Crownsville.
  • When: Saturday, May 4, 11 a.m.
  • Description: The festival is a family affair and will feature food, libations, continuous live music from two stages, activities for all ages, arts and crafts vendors and cooking demonstrations.
