Good morning, Potomac! It’s Monday morning, a new week and time to get started with today’s “5 Things.” Among our offerings: weather, some interesting tidbits and a few quick notes.

1. This week will be varied with some rain and clouds through out the days. High temperatures should stay in the mid-30s or above, while lows may drop to 27. Today we might see a bit of rain in the morning, with a high of 46, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be cloudy with lows dropping to 31.

2. A few new restaurants are coming to the Potomac area, including a scheduled for mid-January. , and says that business has boomed during its first week. What do you think of these new restaurant locations? Is there anything else you’d like to see come to the area?

3. It’s 6 a.m. and time for your morning coffee/tea/hot beverage, but will you be heading to your local Starbucks for that drink? The Seattle-based chain said last week that it is raising the price of some of its drinks, the Huffington Post reported. Will the price jump change where you buy your java?

4. of the C&O Canal National Historical Park Towpath, requiring periodic closures of all parking areas across from the on MacArthur Boulevard and the lower drop off lot. .
