Aroma Espresso Bar Applies For Liquor License

The new Westfield Montgomery Mall eatery has pushed its opening date to mid-December.

Aroma Espresso Bar, slated to open in mid-December, could be serving beer and wine, alongside a menu that includes soups, salads, breakfast and pastries.

Emily De Titta of Montgomery County’s Department of Liquor Control confirmed that Aroma Espresso Bar opening in the Westfield Montgomery Mall has applied for a liquor license. The business is scheduled for a hearing on Dec. 20.

Multiple Aroma Espresso Bar locations in New York also serve beer and wine, according to its website. Robert Dyer first reported that the new Montgomery County location had applied for a liquor license.

The franchise, Israel’s largest, has become an anticipated new addition to Westfield mall.

Aroma was scheduled to open on the mall’s lower level in mid-November, partially headed by Eddie Benaim of Potomac’s Bezu. According to Benaim the date has now been tentatively rescheduled for Dec. 15.

“Hopefully we’ll be able to open by then,” he said.
