Black Friday, Small Business Saturday in Potomac Preview

This weekend shop local and save money at any of these Potomac stores.

 

Avoid the chaos of Black Friday this year by staying close to home. There's plenty of shopping in Potomac on Nov. 25 and on Nov. 26, during the American Express Small Business Saturday. 

Residents who register an American Express card online and use that card for a purchase of $25 or more at a small business this Saturday will receive a $25 statement credit.

Chico’s and Strosniders, both on River Road, said they plan on offering Black Friday deals.

Employees at , open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, said they are most excited about Small Business Saturday and the shoppers they expect the event will attract. Chico’s will not announce sales until Friday morning but the store will open at 9 a.m., an hour earlier than usual.

, in the on Seven Locks Road, will open at 9:30 a.m. and offer 40 percent off all children’s shoes on Friday.  

and the , both located in the Cabin John Shopping Center, will also feature deals on Black Friday.

Occasions will operate normal hours from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., but will offer free holiday gift wrap and a bag of caramel popcorn with every purchase. Hall of Fame Cards will not have Black Friday specials, but will be selling a full collection of autographed football memorabilia signed by Washington Redskins kick returner Brandon Banks, who stopped by the store for a private signing last weekend.  

Starting now and ending Dec. 31, everything and for every $250 spent at their store, customers will receive a stamp for 25 percent off their next purchase (through Dec. 31). Earn a second stamp and save 30 percent off the next purchase. Shoppers who buy at B Scene this Friday between 10 a.m. and noon will save an additional 10 percent off their entire purchase.

Also, on Friday, will offer 20 percent off all Christmas and holiday-themed items and Toy Castle will offer 20 percent off all items.
