Bobby's Burger Palace to Open in Montgomery Mall

The restaurant launched by celebrity chef Bobby Flay could be open within a year, Bethesda Magazine reports.

Bobby's Burger Palace, the burger chain launched by celebrity chef Bobby Flay, soon will be open at the Westfield Montgomery Mall, Bethesda Magazine reports.

The chain could be open within a year as part of a major expansion planned for the shopping center, which will include renovations to the food court and a new movie theater.

The chain, which also has Maryland locations in College Park and at the Maryland Live! Casino at Arundel Mills, features burgers with Angus beef, ground turkey or chicken breast.

Some of the menu items include the "Miami Burger," with ham, Swiss cheese and pickles; the "LA Burger," with avocado relish, watercress, cheddar cheese and tomato; and the "Napa Valley" burger, with goat cheese and lemon honey mustard.

I've never tried Bobby's, but I've heard great things about the "crunchified" burgers. I might need to visit the College Park location while we're waiting for the Bethesda one to open.

I loved Bobby's in College Park. Delicious burgers and onion rings with unique condiments on the table such as green chili sauce in squeeze bottles. The mall needs an alternative to CPK, cannot wait!

I went to the Grand Opening of his DC location and the food was delicious and innovative. I agree with the earlier comment about it setting a standard for what a burger can be. I haven't been to Montgomery Mall in ages, but it will probably fare well. The DC/Maryland market seems to be a hot spot for him, as he has opened several locations, one right after the other, so he seems to have done his research and decided this is a good market to expand into.
