Customers Rave Over Potomac's Sugo Cicchetti

Looks like Potomac has welcomed a new shining star.

With aggregate four- and five-star ratings on business review sites like Yelp, Trip Advisor and Urbanspoon, may be the new darling in our section of the foodie scene. The restaurant, brought to you by the owners of the Washington-area Cava restaurants and Cava Mezze Grills and Mamma Lucia,

Two months later, reviews rave about the restaurant’s pizza, sliders, pasta, a Nutella cheesecake with salted caramel popcorn and a dish called “Green Eggs and Ham.”

“I would suggest ordering a starter, pasta, and main course or pizza per person, plus a dessert if you still have room (portions run small),” said one Bethesda Yelp reviewer just after the restaurant opened. “Is SuGo pricey? For sure. But a quality restaurant that we will be returning to.”

Downsides: Service can be hit or miss and food sometimes comes out overdone, according to reviewers.

Still a four-star rating out of 32 reviews on Yelp, says it can’t be all bad – and most of it’s pretty good.
