'Foodie & The Beast' Cook Up Brunch at Potomac's Founding Farmers

Radio hosts David and Nycci Nellis will broadcast live from Found Farmers in Potomac Sunday with brunch and a variety talk show for restaurant guests.

"Foodie & The Beast," a D.C.-area radio show for food lovers, will visit for a special live show broadcast on Sunday.

The food and wine variety show hosted by David and Nycci Nellis airs on Federal News Radio 1500AM, featuring special guests, cooking ideas and tips for the best food and drink venues around town. Sunday's show will feature discussions with Founding Farmers' Corporate Executive Chef Joe Goetze about the restaurant's farm-fresh philosophy and community engagement projects.

Other live appearances include Food & Wine Magazine Top 12 Best New Pastry Chef Chris Ford; Bibiana Chef Nicholas Stefanelli; Pam the Butcher and more.

The event had 25 tickets left for sale as of Wednesday morning. Tickets are $40 each and include the meal, the show, tax and gratuity. Guests will also receive a bag of goodies from Founding Farmers and the other guests appearing on the show.

What's on the menu? According to the event release, guests won't go home hungry:

Founding Farmers Breakfast with Bacon
Two Eggs, Niman Ranch Applewood Smoked Bacon, Choice of Shredded Leek Hash Browns, Grits, Farmers Salad, Fruit or Tomatoes

New Orleans Style French Toast
Whipped Farm Butter, Original

Garden Scramble
Pan Scrambled Egg Whites, Roasted Vegetables, Spinach, White Cheddar Cheese

Red Flannel Hash
Goat Cheese, Red Beets, Shredded Leek Hash Browns, Poached Eggs

Freshly squeezed orange juice and choice of unlimited coffee or iced tea. Choice of Mimosa, Bloody Mary or Bellini for each adult attendee. Non-alcoholic beverages available upon request.
