Grocers Could Donate Thousands to Potomac Schools

Earn money for your Potomac schools while grocery shopping.

Area stores including Giant Food, Safeway and Harris Teeter have pledged to donate cash to schools for purchases made this school year.

will award points to registered schools for purchases made between Oct. 5 and March 28, 2013, through it's A+ School Rewards program. At the end of that time, the total points earned by a school will be used to calculate a percentage of a $2 million award.

Safeway will donate up to $25,000 to schools registered through its eScrips program. For a list of participating schools near you, search for your ZIP code here. Users must reregister to continue earning awards.
