Last Chance: Five Potomac Businesses Vie For $250,000 Grant

Several Potomac businesses need at least 250 votes before they are even considered in the running for the grant.

Five Potomac businesses are competing for a $250,000 small-business grant offered by Chase Bank USA and LivingSocial and they need at least 250 votes to have a chance at the money.

The grant contest's mission is both to increase awareness of the important role small businesses play in local communities and to help small businesses grow. Voting ends Saturday. The project is called Mission Small Business.

Mission Small Business will award grants to up to 12 businesses nationwide ($3 million total). A panel of notable business executives will help select the businesses that will be awarded these grants.
