Report: Irish Pub Ri Ra to Close in September

The pub will not renew its lease for its Elm Street, Bethesda, location, Bethesda Magazine reported.

Ri Ra, an Irish pub in downtown Bethesda, will close in early September, according to Bethesda Magazine.

"The popular gathering spot, which opened 10 years ago, is not renewing its lease, confirmed bar manager Paul Corey," Bethesda Magazine reported.

Ri Ra currently has 12 locations across the country—from Vermont to Kentucky, according to its website.

Last year, Ri Ra in Bethesda received an On Tap award for best Irish pub in the Washington, DC, area.
