Reviewers Praise Potomac's Grilled Oyster Company

Have you made it to the newly opened restaurant in the Cabin John Shopping Center?

Getting a seat at Potomac’s Grilled Oyster Company is no mean feat, according to reviews.

The Grilled Oyster Company, located in the Cabin John Shopping Center, opened Sept. 5, serving dishes from grilled oyster – of course – to Old Bay fries and a Chesapeake cioppino. The Table Talk blog on Bethesda Magazine reports that without reservations, a weekend diner could wait upwards of an hour for a table, but the wait is worth it.

“It’s shaping up to be a very nice restaurant, with reasonable prices, a pleasant ambiance and dishes made with high-quality seafood,” Table Talk blogger Carole Sugarman wrote.

According to Sugarman, top dishes include the Chesapeake Bay oysters, a grilled oyster combo, and the Maryland crab cake.

“Best main course so far: the Chesapeake cioppino, a jam-packed bowl of fresh-tasting crab, shrimp, clams, mussels, rockfish and diced vegetables in an addictive tomato broth,” Sugarman wrote.
