Taste of Bethesda 101: How to Pay, Park, Eat and Play

A guide to the 23rd annual Taste of Bethesda.

The highly-anticipated Taste of Bethesda is hitting the streets of downtown Bethesda Saturday, and Patch has got all the need-to-know info for you to make the most out of the feeding frenzy.

When and Where

Taste of Bethesda is set for Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Bethesda’s Woodmont Triangle, along Norfolk, Fairmont, St. Elmo, Cordell and Del Ray Avenues.

The event is held rain or shine.

Admission is free. Stop by one of seven ticket booths to purchase your Taste tickets—they’ll be sold in bundles of four for $5. Food costs anywhere from one to four tickets. Drinks and face painting cost one ticket.

There are no refunds on unused food tickets, so be sure to purchase only what you’ll need. The ticket booths will close at 3:30 p.m.

How to Get There and Where to Park

Directions to the event are available online.

Parking garages near the event may be full, so the Bethesda Urban Partnership is asking event-goers to consider parking at garages further away and taking the free Bethesda Circulator.

Saturday parking is free in downtown Bethesda’s public lots and garages.

The Circulator will be transporting event-goers to and from the Bethesda Metro during the event, so you can also take Metro and hop aboard or walk the three blocks to the festival.

Finding Your Favorite Restaurant

A list of participating restaurants and menus is available at the Bethesda Urban Partnership’s website. Event maps will be available at BUP’s information tent, and a printable event map courtesy of BUP is available online [PDF].

Just look for the number of your favorite restaurant and its corresponding location on the map.

Entertainment Schedule

Event-goers can enjoy five stages of live entertainment during Taste of Bethesda. Here’s the lineup:

Fairmont Avenue Stage

St. Elmo Avenue Stage

Cordell Avenue Stage
