Good morning, Potomac! It’s Monday morning, and time to get your day started with these “5 Things.” Among our offerings: weather, a recap of last week and what you can expect coming up this week.

1. We can expect a cooler week, with clouds and rain during the first half of the week and weather clearing up into the weekend. Highs will reach the mid-80s, with lows in the lower 60s. Today will be mostly cloudy with a high near 79 and a chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight’s lows will drop to 63.

2. It was a busy week at Brickyard Road last week. Governor Martin O’Malley weighed in on the organic farm vs. soccer field controversy, just hours before a circuit court judge handed down a decision effectively halting the county’s plans to begin soccer field development on the property.
