A look at the five things to know to begin your day in Potomac.

Happy Tuesday, Potomac. To quench your thirst for bites of information, here's today's list of five things you need to know:

1. Today will be mostly cloudy in the morning then partly sunny with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Temps in the low 80s with a nice breeze. Tuesday Night will be partly cloudy then becoming mostly clear. Temperatures will be delicious: low 60s.

2. This is truly exciting news! Seven Dr. Seuss stories will be published in a new book, The Bippolo Seed, which will hit a bookstore near you Sept. 27, according to the Los Angeles Times. Originally published in a magazine five decades ago, the stories illustrate the author's use of rhythm and rhyme to enchant readers of all ages.

3. Plan your dinner ahead of time. Every Tuesday, offers a second large cheese pizza for 99 cents with the purchase of one large pizza. For carry out and dine-in only.
