Good morning, Potomac. It's Wednesday and we've already made it halfway through the week. Here are five things to know today:

1. Today will be sunny with highs in the upper 80s. Wednesday evening will be partly to mostly cloudy. Temps will drop to the mid 60s

2.  The Rotary Club of Potomac will hold its at noon at . Jennifer Monahan, an explorer, writer and speaker, will present “Rotary in the Outback.” She is the author of An American in Oz: Discovering the Island Continent of Australia, a true story about her travels in the land Down Under.

3. If it's Wedesday, it's the weekly Shady Grove Farmers' & Artisans' Market. Vendors sell fresh local fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs and poultry, baked goods, as well as original jewelry and art. The market is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Johns Hopkins University Montgomery County Campus in Rockville. For more information, call 301-792-9448 or visit the website.

4. Jeff Carmella Band (jazz) headlines The Rockville Town Square Summer Wine Down series from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Enjoy wine tastings, food sampling, live music and more. Proceeds from the wine tasting portion of this event will benefit the Friends of the Library, Montgomery County.

5. Do you love carnival rides? The Family Day Ride Special happens today at the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair. One-day carnival Megapass wristbands cost $15 from noon until 5 p.m., which allows passholders to ride to their heart's content until midnight. Wristbands can be purchased at Guest Services ticket stations in the carnival area. The cost is in addition to the regular fair entrance fees.
