Good morning, Potomac. It's Wednesday, and we've already made it halfway through the week. Here are five things to know today:

1. On this last day of August, the weather will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 80s. The evening will be partly cloudy; the temps will fall into the low 60s.

2. Look for an update later today on our story about a Potomac man who police believe to be armed. Police said the incident was domestic related. As of 12:16 a.m., police were still on the scene negotiating with the man.

3. If it's Wedesday, it's the weekly Shady Grove Farmers' & Artisans' Market. Vendors sell fresh local fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs and poultry, baked goods, as well as original jewelry and art. 5. On this day in 1997, Princess Diana was killed in a car crash in a tunnel in Paris. The accident aslo killed her companion, Emad Mohammed al-Fayed. Much spectulation was made about whether the press—specifically the paparazzi—played a role in Diana's death.
