Happy Earth Day folks! Start your Friday off right by reading the five things you need to know today. 

1. Today is Earth Day and Potomac Patch is here to help you with ideas for how you can give back not only today, but also every day! Check out our list of ways . 2. Speaking of things to do this weekend, it’s sure to be a busy one as Passover, Easter and Earth Day celebrations abound. 3. Looks like it will be another rainy day in Potomac. Rain will hit the area after 11 a.m. and again in the evening. The day’s high will be about 51 degrees and the low will be about 45 degrees.

4. At 10 a.m., enjoy a classic love story as told by puppets! The Puppet Co. Playhouse will perform at Glen Echo with a special twist. This show is ideal for children in kindergarten to sixth grade and costs $10 per ticket.

5. It’s never too early to start thinking about plans for dinner! This evening, is having their special of all natural porterhouse steak. The steak is served with a baked potato and snow peas. Yum!
