5 Things You Need to Know Today: April 8

It’s almost the weekend, so use these five things to help you get through the day so you can enjoy some relaxing time off.

1. Grab that umbrella because it looks like rain will be here most of the weekend. Today there will be a high near 52 degrees with an 80 percent chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service. The low will be around 44 degrees with a 60 percent chance of rain.

5. As Earth Day quickly approaches, many Potomac residents may be looking for ways to help the environment. One great opportunity is the at the River Center at Lock 8 on Saturday. This cleanup is open to all ages, and includes stewardship activities such as trash removal and trail maintenance surrounding the River Center at Lock 8, which is located at 7906 Riverside Dr. in Cabin John.
