Happy Tuesday, Potomac. To keep your curious mind in the know, here's today's list of five things you need to know:

1. After last night's wild weather in parts of the metro area, Tuesday is expected to be sunny with highs in the mid-90s. Northwest winds around 10 mph and lower humidity will make for a more pleasant day.

2. Plan your dinner ahead of time. Every Tuesday, offers a second large cheese pizza for 99 cents with the purchase of one large pizza. For carry out and dine-in only.

3. The Montgomery County Public Libraries tweeted Monday about a fascinating exhibit at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, D.C.  “Fame, Fortune & Theft: The Shakespeare First Folio” contains 18 of the plays of William Shakespeare, widely regarded as the world’s greatest playwright. The exhibit runs through Sept. 3 at library located at 201 East Capitol Street SE.

4. Tonight marks the 28th Annual National Night Out against crime. Law enforcement, government officials, businesses, and citizens will join together to increase awareness and prevention of crime. Information on drug prevention, anti-crime programs, child identity kits and more, will be on hand. Nearby, there will be organized events at Quince Orchard Park, the Kentlands and Saybrooke from 7-9 p.m.; Orchard Ponds from 5-9 p.m.; and Brighton Village Apartments from 7-8:30 p.m.

5. On this day in 1992 in Barcelona, Spain, Jackie Joyner-Kersee became the first woman ever to win two consecutive Olympic gold medals in the heptathlon, a combination of seven track and field events.
